  22. Hi, all.  After rendering out a LW animation (AND saving the stills) with
  23. my .94 Flyer, I played it back and got the "let's flash to a red tint
  24. every other frame" bug.  I tried re-rendering the stills as another anim
  25. -- no luck.  So I broke down and gave a call to NewTek's FTP site
  26. (ftp.newtek.com).

  28. I remembered reading on the list that Flyer 4.03 won't install without the
  29. 4.0 CD.  I got the DMS'd disk and installed it by hand (decompress LHA
  30. files, copy the OLD files to a dir called "Flyer_OLD" first (just in
  31. case...), and then put the new files in.)
  32.  
  33. I rebooted & started the Toaster... It did a Flyer Callibrate... AND
  34. WORKED!!! YEAH!!!  Now I can finish my tape for Manny!  and my final
  35. projects for RISD!  JOY! RAPTURE! :)

  37. Works great, TPaint is OK (after renaming it from ToaterPaint2000 to
  38. ToasterPaint), but I haven't tried it much so I didn't find the bugs yet. 
  39. I did notice that the Editor screen seems a bit darker, and the Save
  40. Projects button is a little too far to the right, but otherwise, REAL nice...
  41.  
  42. Two questions, though...
  43.  
  44. 1 -- How do you a) compile IFFs/Framestores into VTASC anims with TPaint
  45.         b) How do you split clips to IFFs
  46. 2 -- Where do you put the A2000Icons.LHA once you've decompressed them? 
  47.         I'm assuming Control in the Effects dir, since nothing's there
  48.         and these seem like control icons...

  50. BTW, it turns out NewTek wrote their own info command.  Check your c:. 
  51. Info is the NewTek one (type Info ? in a CLI) and Info_old (or something)
  52. is the old ADos one.  Info ? explains why they did it...  A couple other
  53. NewTek goddies are in C:, too...
